Snack Size Perfect Bar Tombstone Dirt Cups

Are you looking for a spooky treat for Halloween? These Chocolate Avocado Mousse Tombstone Dirt Cups are the perfect treat for spooky season. We opted for a healthier alternative to chocolate pudding, used avocado mousse in the base of the cups and topped them with a Peanut Butter Snack Size Perfect Bar decorated like tombstones. This recipe takes very little prep and mostly consists of assembling the cups, which would be a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen. So, grab your little ghouls and goblins and let’s get to prepping!

Ingredients

Serves 12, Makes twelve 4-ounce dirt cups

Chocolate Avocado Mousse

4 small ripe avocados
½ cup unsweetened cacao powder
2/3 cup oat milk, or milk of choice
2/3 cup + 1 tbsp maple syrup
6 ounces 55% dark chocolate, melted
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
¼ tsp sea salt

Assembly

2 cups chocolate cream sandwich cookies (about 16 to 18 cookies), crushed
2 ounces dark chocolate, melted for writing on tombstones
12 whole Peanut Butter Snack Size Perfect Bar
1 cup of regular or sour gummy worms, optional

Instructions

In a food processor, combine the avocados, cacao powder, oat milk, maple syrup, melted chocolate, vanilla, and salt. Process until a smooth and creamy puree forms.

Spoon the mousse into twelve 4-ounce glass jars or ramekins and alternate with layers of the “dirt” cookie crumbs, and finishing last (on top) with the cookie crumbs. Set aside.

Add the melted chocolate to a piping bag or plastic sandwich bag with the corner just barely snipped with scissors. Lay the Snack Size Perfect Bars on a work surface. Using the chocolate filled piping bag, pipe a few spooky sayings across the Snack Size Perfect Bars, as desired, and let cool for at least 5 minutes.

Set a Snack Size Perfect Bar tombstone and a few gummy worms into each dirt cup and serve right away.

*Best enjoyed within a few hours while the dirt cookie crumbs are crisp.
