A Perfect Treat: Try This Recipe For Chocolate Peanut Butter Hand Pies

If you thought all your dreams came true with the Dark Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter with Sea Salt Perfect Bar, think again. We’re taking it up a notch with these Chocolate Peanut Butter hand pies you surely can’t live without!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Hand Pies

Makes 10.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of pre-made (frozen or refrigerated) whole wheat pie dough, room temperature
  • 2 Sea Salt & Dark Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Perfect Bars, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup roasted and salted peanuts, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Generously flour the countertop or other surface and roll the pie dough into a thin layer (about a 1/4 inch). Use the opening of a circular cup to cut circles in the dough. Roll the leftover dough and repeat until you have about 20 circles.
  3. Place 10 of the circles on your cookie sheet and chop each Perfect Bar into 8 equal squares. Crumble one of the squares into the middle of a circle of dough. Place the second circle of dough on top and gently press the edges down with your fingers. Gently push down on the middle of the pie with your palm to flatten it a bit and using a fork, gently press around the edges.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned on the edges.
  5. While the pies are baking, melt your chocolate chips in 10-20 second intervals in the microwave. Chop the peanuts.
  6. Remove the pies from the oven and let cool slightly. With a fork or spoon, drizzle the chocolate over the pies and sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top.
  7. Enjoy!

NOTE: Store hand pies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
